We invite you to join the introduction to Traditional Pow-Wow dancing and outfit making to be held at Aanischaaukamikw Cree Cultural Institute Ouje-Bougoumou.
The goals and objectives are to promote togetherness, relationships, teamwork, culture revival, and basically teach visitors how to sew. Participates will leard how to make briant displays of traditional and contemporary Pow-Wow outfits.
All material will be provided and participates will be able to keep what they make.
Special guests and instructors are Gabriel Whiteduck from Maniwaki and Paul Menarick from Chisasibi.
Schedule: May 20 – 23, 2014 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm
Open to all children ages 6 -12 (All children must be accompanied with a parent or guardian.
May 26 – 30, 2014 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm
Open to all youth and adults (12+ yrs)
